Oana Rotariu

Assistant choreographer

Oana Rotariu has dedicated herself to dancing ever since she was four years old, when she started gymnastics courses. She continued with modern and ballroom dancing.

At present she is a student in the XI-th grade at the National College of Art Ion Vidu (Choreography section), in Timisoara. From 2006 she has been teaching ballroom dancing at the Alegria Club in Timisoara and, in 2008, she participated, as a dancer and choreographer, in the project Différents, jamais indifférents!, in Belgium.

Her energy and dedication guided her towards performance. Oana became international vice-champion in the category Open-Basic Latino (age 16-35) in 2006, national champion (class E, Standard and Latino categories) in 2007, national champion (class D, Standard and Latino categories) in 2008 and semi-finalist in the Ballroom Dancing National Championship of Romania (Open category, age 19-35).

Oana Rotariu proves talent in other fields, too. She will graduate this summer from the Louis Calderon College in Timisoara, Mathematics-IT section, courses taught in French.

By getting involved in the Firebird project, Oana tries a new approach to dancing and its role in people’s life.
